Your mission:
As a Battery Specialist (m/f/d), you will be the driving force behind the development of our new Battery Storage Systems (BESS) business field. You will manage the entire process from the identification of potential customers to the development of customized storage solutions and the operation of battery systems. You will combine technical expertise with strategic vision and make a decisive contribution to the energy transition.
This position offers you a varied range of tasks in an innovative environment with short decision-making processes and a lot of creative freedom.

Your tasks:
Development and strategic expansion of the BESS business area

• Familiarization with existing analysis tools and optimization of the software in cooperation with external partners
• Identification and integration of new analysis tools to improve storage evaluation
• Continuous market monitoring and analysis of regulatory developments, in particular legislation in the field of battery storage
• Developing expertise on approval and registration processes for BESS projects, both "in front of the meter" and "behind the meter"
• Development and expansion of technical expertise at the interfaces to photovoltaics, the grid and energy management systems (EMS)
• Identification of new cooperation partners and suppliers for innovative storage technologies

Supporting sales in customer acquisition and project implementation

• Identification of target customers for battery storage solutions based on consumption data and profitability analyses
• Preparation of technical and economic assessments to increase efficiency through BESS
• Technical planning and dimensioning of battery storage systems for individual customer requirements
• Close cooperation with the sales team for optimal consulting and presentation of BESS solutions to customers

Realization and operational management of battery storage projects

• Obtaining, analyzing and negotiating offers for battery storage solutions
• Selection of suitable suppliers and management of the procurement process
• Coordination and implementation of the necessary approval and registration processes in coordination with network operators and authorities
• Development of measurement and control concepts for the integration of BESS into existing energy systems
• Ensuring smooth commissioning and quality assurance of the battery storage systems
• Interface management between customers, suppliers, photovoltaics, grid operators and authorities
• Responsibility for maintenance, operation and continuous optimization of battery storage systems for contracting models
• Management responsibility for currently one employee with potential for further expansion

What you bring with you:

• Professional qualifications: A successfully completed technical degree or comparable training, ideally in the fields of electrical engineering, energy technology or renewable energies.
• Experience in project management: Proven experience in the planning, implementation and management of technical projects, ideally in the field of battery storage systems or energy technology.
• Knowledge in the field of battery storage: First practical experience with battery storage systems for industrial applications as well as a solid understanding of their technical and economic optimization.
• Analytical thinking: The ability to quickly grasp complex technical and economic relationships, carry out well-founded analyses and derive viable solutions.
• Communication and negotiation skills: Confident manner to convince customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders of innovative storage solutions.
• Initiative and innovative spirit: Motivation to actively help shape a new business area, question existing processes and develop innovative approaches to further develop the battery storage business.
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate: enjoy working with internal and external partners to jointly realize sustainable energy solutions.
