Tasks
Your role As a Vehicle Test Pilot, you are the key person bringing prototype vehicles onto public roads and test tracks, laying the foundation for vehicle logistics, test processes and customer validation activities.
You independently operate pre-series vehicles, ensure their operational readiness and record test data in a structured and traceable manner. Your work enables new technologies to be equipped, evaluated, tested and validated with maximum safety and clear impact for both project and customer.
The project assignment is mainly based in Hungary, where you support vehicle testing and development activities directly on site.
Responsibilities
Test driving & prototypes
Independent execution of test drives on public roads and test tracks
Objective: zero safety-relevant incidents
Vehicle logistics & operation
Ensuring operational readiness of pre-series vehicles
Handling bookings, logistics and approvals
Documentation completeness target: 100%
Feedback & documentation
Clear and traceable documentation of test results and anomalies
Professional external representation towards customers
Project assignment in Hungary
Direct on-site collaboration with the customer
Objective: zero customer complaints, 100% positive feedback
Competencies
Technical
Knowledge of safety-relevant vehicle functions
Understanding of traffic regulations, occupational safety requirements and OEM tools
Methodological
High sense of responsibility and risk awareness
Confident and composed behaviour in critical situations
Personal
Structured working style and strong documentation skills
Defensive, anticipatory driving behaviour
Requirements
Qualifications
Degree or vocational training in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field
Experience in test driving, vehicle validation or safeguarding of safety-critical vehicle functions
Confident use of diagnostic and OEM tools
Secure handling of test and documentation software
High level of responsibility, strong team skills and the ability to quickly assess and correctly handle complex situations
Language requirements
Very good English skills (working language)
German is a plus
Hungarian language skills are beneficial for local coordination but not mandatory
